Star Wars: Unlimited TCG shows off gameplay and cards

Fantasy Flight Games has recently shown off their new card game, Star Wars Unlimited, and have released a video showing gameplay footage.

There will be 200 cards in the first set, called Spark of Rebellion, made up of characters from the films, TV shows, comics and video games.

More cards will be released, with three sets planned for each year.

Each card will feature new artwork on it, commissioned especially for the game.

Some cards will have variant artwork and special treatments.

Players play the game by building decks with cards from randomised booster packs, each with different strengths, weaknesses and abilities.

The decks will be made up of cards that can be played, the leader and a base.

The goal is to destroy the opponent’s deck before they can do the same to you.

How players achieve this goal is up to them.

Players will take it in turns to perform a single action per go, with anything that players can do considered an action.

This includes playing a card, attacking an enemy unit and activating one of your card’s abilities.

The game has been developed at the studio for three years.

There will be events for the community, with weekly store-level events and worldwide events.

Star Wars: Unlimited is the culmination of FFG’s rich history mixed with the celebrated Star Wars brand. As a studio, we are putting unprecedented resources across every department into this game. We could not be more excited to get this out into the world for everyone to experience,” said Chris Gerber, the Fantasy Flight Games Head of Studio.

“We can’t wait to show you more,” he added.

The game will be released globally in 2024.
