Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Launches Fourth Free DLC
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed recently revealed the trailer for its fourth free DLC. Ecto Edition packages together all of the game’s content for $19.99. The fourth DLC update brings a new villain and ways to play Illfonic’s asymmetric game of hide and seek.
Players can choose to hunt as a ghostbuster or haunt as one of twenty-eight ghosts. The Ghost of Halloween Samhain, who is voiced by Ryan Colt Levy, is the main antagonist of this patch and he’s bringing a new ghost type with him. The “Overlord” Darklock and Gravebringer ghost types can attack players directly and throw physical items instead of ectoplasm.

With the expansion to the Nintendo Switch and Steam, the ability to progress while offline is being introduced. When players go online again, their progress will sync up. The update also includes two new maps. Petey’s Pirate Cove, which has “more ghostly apparitions than a sunken shipwreck”. Galway Station will take ghostbusters underground once again.
The “Ecto Edition” also boasts show stopping performances from Dan Akyrod and Ernie Hudson. The expanded narrative includes several new acts and cinematics. There is also a special boss fight players can tackle as a team that’s been added. Players who have completed the game’s primary campaign can jump into the new content immediately.

Ghost bounties are a new way for players to earn experience solo or in a group. This also allows new players to learn how to play against ghosts at different difficulties. Ghosts are bot controlled in this mode. Loadouts are now in the game as well. While character loadouts are purely cosmetic, gear loadouts can be fully upgraded and applied to multiple AI characters as well.
Ghost players will now have their own collectibles. While haunting the various maps, they will have to find Tobin Pages. These pages will unlock new audio logs.
In addition to the Switch and Steam releases, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is now available on Epic Games Store, Playstation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. Crossplay is supported across all platforms.
