Zack Synder announces Rebel Moon prequel comic for 2024

Ahead of its release on Netflix later this year, Zack Synder has announced that ‘Rebel Moon’ will be getting a prequel comic published by Titan Comics.

The first issue will be called ‘Rebel Moon: House of the Bloodaxe’ and it will be released on January 10, 2024.

Synder unveiled the news on X, formerly Twitter, adding that he’s excited to expand the universe beyond the screen.

The comic will be written by Mags Visaggio and illustrated by Clark Bint.

Plot details for the comic have yet to be released.

Synder’s new film, ‘Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire’, will be released on Netflix on December 22, 2023, and the second part, titled ‘Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver’ will follow on April 19, 2024.

The film follows Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious fighter on the planet Veldt, as she assembles a group of misfits to take on the Imperium, a tyrannical government bent on control.

Kai (Charlie Hunnam), Gunnar (Michiel Huisman), General Titus (Djimon Hounsou), Tarak (Staz Nair), Nemesis (Doona Bae), Darrian Bloodaxe (Ray Fisher), and Milus (E.Duffy) will all seek to aid Kora on her quest.

Threatening Veldt will be the vile Regent Balisarius (Fra Fee), leader of the Imperium, and his right-hand man, Admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein).
