The player 2 won’t be required to buy their own copy.

GameChat won’t simply allow players to talk while playing but also screen share and use the camera accessory or USB-C camera. This will allow players to “enter” certain games in fun ways. Like singing karaoke in the rerelease of Super Mario. The new Pro Controller will also have a button to activate the chat, an audio jack and extra back buttons. Plus a variety of other accessories including a Joy-Con 2 Wheel, carrying cases, a screen protector, and an AC Adapter.
The Switch 2 will of course have a slew of third-party games, but there is an exciting exclusives lineup. Donkey Kong will be getting a long-awaited 3D platformer set on Ingot Isle and releasing on July 17th. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will get enhanced editions with better graphics, an app integration that leads to korok seeds, and an add-on for Tears of the Kingdom that lets players share device QR codes. Classic GameCube games will be available digitally along with a new controller with the original “C” button. Kirby will be getting a sequel to Kirby’s Air Ride in 2025 though an exact date hasn’t been given. FromSoftware may have had the biggest surprise with The Duskbloods trailer that showed off mythical creatures, wicked looking weapons and Gothic architecture but only gave an expected 2026 launch window.
