The new versions of the game will include several bug fixes and quality-of-life additions.
‘Star Trek: Resurgence’ was released in May 2023 by Dramatic Labs.
It is a third-person narrative adventure set in ‘The Next Generation’ era of ‘Star Trek’
Players follow an original story with the crew onboard the U.S.S. Resolute.
Many critics praised the game, citing its narrative-branching story and connections to other pieces of ‘Star Trek’ lore.
Dramatic Labs are an independent game publisher and developer, mainly made up of veterans from Telltale Games.
“As our first post-Telltale adventure, it’s been truly humbling to have Star Trek fans across the world respond to our game so positively,” said Kevin Bruner, Founder of Dramatic Labs in a statement.
“It’s been thrilling to see them spot all the references and call out the accuracy we’ve tried to recreate, down to the tiniest detail. We can’t wait to see more fans make tough decisions aboard the RESOLUTE,” he added.
Another ‘Star Trek’ game called ‘Star Trek: Infinite’ is in development at Nimble Giant Entertainment and will be published by Paradox Interactive.
It will have a heavy focus on strategy, with players being able to take control of many different factions in the ‘Star Trek’ world.
A release date for the game has yet to be announced.
