Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2 Official Trailer Reaction
After a time of worry for fans of ‘Star Trek: Prodigy’, fans have the confirmation they wanted that the show will live on for at least one more season after Netflix swooped in and saved the animated adventure. And the season two trailer sets up a new mission for the crew on the U.S.S. Protostar and beyond.
The U.S.S Protostar isn’t the the only notable ship set to appear in the show. The mission is sees the crew get reassigned to the U.S.S Voyager-A to try and to rescue Captain Chakotay (voiced by Robert Beltran) and bring peace to Gwyn’s home world. But as the trailer shows, even the best laid plans can go astray, and with this show, it’s the cosmic force of time that goes wrong.
So now the gang have to make sure they resolve their mess before it swallows up everything in it’s path. It introduces a huge threat to the heroes, along with the smaller scale story that they have to contend with and resolve. 20 episodes gives the show a lot of room to breathe to tell its story and develop.
The trailer shows that audiences will be able to see all new alien races, ships, expanding the ‘Star Trek’ universe in new and exicting ways. But it’s also the technology that’s getting an expansion, wih some cloaking technology being show off. No doubt that will come into play at a critical moment later in the season.
Another huge surpise for fans is that the show will be making its way onto Netlfix faster than they might have expected. They can watch it from July 1, which is fantastic and exciting news.
