‘Agatha All Along’ is the true name for the ‘WandaVision’ spin-off series, Disney confirmed at its ad Uprfront.

A release date of September 18 for the first episode was also announced.

This marks the fifth change for the series, which started out life being called ‘Agatha: House of Harkness’ when it was first announced in 2021.

It then changed to ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’, then ‘Agatha’ Darkhold Diaries’, ‘Agatha’, briefly to ‘Agatha: The Lying Witch with the Great Wardrobe’ before finally settling on ‘Agatha All Along’

The final name of the series is also the name of a song from ‘WandaVision’ about the witch that went viral and earned composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez an Emmy award

The show was initially planned for a winter 2023 release but was pushed back

The show will star Kathryn Hahn as the witch Agatha Harkness, who, at the end of ‘WandaVision’ was left trapped as a nosy neighbour by the Scarlett Witch herself.

The show’s premise reads “Agatha Harkness finds herself powerless after breaking out of her containment in Westview, New Jersey, following the events of the series ‘WandaVision’ (2021). She looks to some unlikely allies to join her on her quest to regain her former powers.”

Several cast members have already been announced like Aubrey Plaza as the dagger-wielding witch Rio Vidal, and Debra Jo Rupp who will be reprising her role as a New Jersey resident who appeared as Mrs Hart in the fictional sitcom in ‘WandaVision’.

Jac Schaeffer is the show’s head writer and excutive producer.

Scaeffer was the head writer and excutive producer on ‘WandaVision’, so audiences can expect creative continuety from the spin-off.
