Dystopika Is A Relaxing Take On City Builders

Dystopika is not a game. There’s no time limits, goals, or endings. It’s effectively an art program. You can place buildings and create your ideal cyberpunk city. The buildings are randomly generated though, so there’s no choice paralysis. It’s perfect for fans of a true sandbox game.

After you’ve made your city, there’s plenty of decorations you can add; posters, text, holograms, etc. You can also add in your own images if none of the default images catch your eye. Dystopika also has a pretty impressive camera mode. If all you want to do is get on every now and then to make a new wallpaper, plenty of filters and camera angles await. It’s easy to get lost for hours building and unlocking more options.

Of course if you’d like a little more gameplay for your buck, this is not going to be for you. It promises exactly what it delivers. That may mean you open Dystopika, finish one city and never open it again. At least not until there’s a new update. This is a game for your downtime when you’d like to turn your brain off.

Dystopika is a fun experience. It allows you to create something interesting. Even if you can’t quite make it from scratch. The UI is easy to get a hang of, as well as being unobtrusive. Get it if creating just for the sake of building is your thing.
