Dwarven Realms Is An ARPG That’s A Lot Of Fun With Even More Potential

Dwarven Realms is an ARPG with horde style gameplay. Enemies flood towards the player and boss fights have a moderate difficulty level. The skill tree is vast, but AOEs cut down on the danger in lower levels. There’s also an auto attack feature. It can make gameplay feel repetitive though it’s convenient to only focus on dodging.

When you first start, there’s incentive to clear ruptures. This is how to level up your camp and unlock more crafting benches. After a while you’re just clearing ruptures to level. A big note here, this game is developed by two people. More content may be planned. For now the fun is entirely in endlessly beating up monsters.

Dwarven Realms has a variety of armor and weapons to craft already. It’s worth the extra time to farm resources before getting locked into boss battles. There’s also dailies to add some variety to grinding. You can also stack modifiers to increase your power. It makes your character feel overpowered pretty fast. Even melee characters continue to feel just as viable as a ranged/magic character.

Dwarven Realms doesn’t have the most complex dungeons or mechanics. It allows players to jump into a rupture, battle tons of enemies, craft, repeat. The graphics are passable but can easily be overlooked once you’re in the flow. If you’re looking for a sprawling skill tree and raid-like mechanics, this isn’t currently the game for you. But if you want a game that allows you to reach level 200+ (if your heart desires) while unlocking more over the top spells, you may have a good time with Dwarven Realms.
