Gen V actor Chance Perdomo dies aged 27
Chance Perdomo, best known for his roles in ‘Gen V’ and ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ has died aged 27.
His representatives said a motorcycle accident was the cause of Perdomo’s death. No one else was injured or involved in the incident.
In a quote, his representatives said
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” a statement from his reps said. “We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
Perdomo was born on October 19, 1996, in Los Angeles but was raised in Southhampton UK.
‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ was the actor’s first huge role where he played Ambrose Spellman.
In addition to his major TV roles, the ‘Gen V’ star earned a BAFTA nomination for his appearance ‘Killed by My Debt.’
In Prime Video’s ‘Gen V,’ a spinoff to ‘The Boys,’ Perdomo took on the role of Andre Anderson, a popular and powerful student at Godolkin University who can telekinetically manipulate metal.
In a statement, the producers of the show said “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this.”
It continues “For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
The cast of ‘Gen V’ issued their own statement saying “Our hearts are with Chance’s loved ones as we grieve this shocking loss. We will remember the special moments we had together, his infectious smile that could light up any room, his warm hugs, and the authenticity he carried with him always,” they said.
“Rest in peace dear friend, you will be deeply missed. Love, The ‘Gen V’ Cast.”
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, which also produces ‘Gen V,’ put out a statement saying “The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”
Season two of ‘Gen V’ was expected to start filming at the end of April but will now be delayed.
