Ahsoka gets a new and earlier release date
Ahsoka will now release a few hours earlier across the world, a tweet from the ‘Star Wars’ X account confirmed.
The show’s highly anticipated first two episodes will now release on August 22 at 6pm Pacific Standard Time (PST)worldwide.
This is 2am August 23 British Summer Time (BST).
The previous release date was midnight August 23 PST, and 8am BST.
The following episodes will also release on Tuesdays at 6pm PST.
Disney hasn’t provided a reason for this change.
‘Ahsoka’ is the next ‘Star Wars’ show to premiere. It’s set after the fall of the Empire.
The titular character played by Rosario Dawson is hunting for Grand Admiral Thrawn, played by Lars Mikkelsen.
Grad Admiral Thrawn has a long history in ‘Star Wars’, first appearing in the 1991 novel ‘Heir to the Empire’ by Timothy Zahn.
He has appeared in several books, and has been an antagonist in the animated show ‘Star Wars: Rebels’.
Ahsoka is joined by several characters from ‘Rebels’, such as the Twi’lek pilot Hera Syndulla, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, her murderous droid Chopper, and the Mandalorian artist Sabine Wren, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo.

They aren’t the only ones searching for Thrawn. The former Jedi-turned-mercenary Baylan Skoll, played by the late Ray Stevenson, his apprentice Shin Hati, played by Ivanna Sakhno, former Imperial Inquisitor-turned-mercenary lMarrok, played by Paul Darnell, and former magistrate Morgan Elsbeth, played by Diana Lee Inosanto are all hunting for Thrawn too.
The trailers for ‘Ahsoka’ have revealed that Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker, giving Ahsoka advice.
Dave Filoni has written the ‘Ahsoka’ series and will direct the first episode.
