Ryan Reynolds to reboot Biker Mice from Mars

Ryan Reynolds has announced that he will be reviving the 1990s cult classic show “Biker Mice from Mars”.

The cartoon ran for three seasons and followed three biker mice – Throttle Modo and Vinne – the only survivors of a Martian war against the obese aliens called the Plutarkians.

The mice crash land in Chicago and must defend Earth from a Plutarkian invasion.

Reynolds will co-produce with his production company Maximum Effort alongside Nacelle.

In a statement to Deadline, he said “Some people know that I am a motorcycle enthusiast, so it was only natural for us to jump on board Biker Mice From Mars.

“Maximum Effort and Fubo look forward to putting a new spin on this cult classic with our friends at Nacelle.”

Nacelle recently obtained the rights to the “Biker Mice from Mars” and created a new toy line based on the cartoon earlier this year.

Brian Volk-Weiss will direct the pilot and serve as an executive producer on the show.

Cisco Henson, Matt Kravitsky, and Michael Goodman, for Nacelle Company. Maximum Effort’s George Dewey, Kevin Hill, Patrick Gooing, and Ryan Reynolds will serve as EPs alongside Fubo’s David Gandler and Pamela Duckworth.

None of the characters are cast.

“Biker Mice from Mars” will be the first animated series on the Maximum Effort Channel,

Viewers can watch the Maximum Effort Channel on Fubo and Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, Plex, Sling Freestream, Tubi, VIDAA, VIZIO Watchfree+, and Xumo Play.

“Biker Mice from Mars” doesn’t have a release date yet.

Reynolds will also be reviving the 1980s sitcom “ALF”, which stands for Alien Life Form.

It starred a furry extraterrestrial that had crash-landed on Earth and ran for four seasons.

Reynolds explained this move by saying he had an “irrational love of “ALF” growing up.”

The project doesn’t have a release date or cast yet either.
