Asmodee and Z-Man Games unveils new Star Wars board game

Begun, The Clone War has, as Asmodee and Z-Man have released Star Wars: The Clone Wars- A Pandemic System Game for tabletop. Audiences will be able to dive into this expansive era of the Star Wars universe and defeat the Confederacy of Independent Systems as they try to take control of the galaxy. 

Players will be able to control fan favourite characters such as Ahsoka, Rex, Anakin and Obi-Wan, going up against some of the most feared villains such as Count Dooku, General Grievous and Maul. Teamwork is needed in order to rout the Separatists however, elese the Republic will fall. Players will have four different scenarios to experience and will have to defeat a villain at the end of each scenario. The game can be played by a singular player, but can also support a maximum of five players. 

The game has been released exclusively in online stores at Target in the United States until October 1, for a price of $59.99. After then it will expand across the world and to other retailers. Fans can check out a teaser for the game, which shows off what some of the miniatures and cards will look like. 

Asmodee and Z-Man Games have released five previous games in the Pandemic System series, including the original Pandmeic back in 2008. This game will be the first time that a Pandemic System game has been brought to a major franchise, though there will likely be more in the future. 

The head of Z-Man games, Sophie Gravel, had this to say about the game:

Our cooperative Pandemic System helps bring iconic Star Wars characters and stories to life – with our Jedi needing to combine Forces to stand a chance against unending waves of Separatist troops. Players will be on the edge of their seat with every playthrough as they fight for victory…and bring balance to the Force.”
