Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Review

(SPOILERS AHEAD! be Warned)

Before I begin, have you watched the Disney+ series What if? Or how about WandaVision? I recommend a recap on those two before watching this film, just my opinion. This review is not a sponsorship from Disney+, but I have an open mind. *hint*

Anywho, let us get back to the good stuff. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it is hard to have one opinion on being truthful, but WOW! The good WOW, not the bad one. Where should I start first? The director of the film Sam Raimi does a phenomenal job incorporating a blend of horror elements and a splash of gore with the combination of the marvel attire that works so well together. His camera style, sound, and directing are unique and remind me of classic 90s and 80s horror films. The colors are stunning in this film compared to the others. He outdid himself in this film by really thinking outside of the box! I don’t want to talk too much about the characters in the movie, especially if you have not seen it.

Marvel Studios

Scarlett Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, is the MVP character in this film. She has come so long in the MCU. She surprises me every time I see her. Her character shows more of her witch side and how the director went into depth with her powers. Once again, please watch WandaVision understand the character’s development.

America Chavez, played by Xochitl Gomez, was a great introduction to the MCU. Her powers were beautiful, and her acting was perfect. Maybe the director should have been a bit more detailed on her background. However, it showed her losing her only family and finding a way to get back to them. I am very proud of the director for using a Mexican-American actress because it helps other cultures with hopes they too can be the main character in a film. Keep up the great work, Raimi!

Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, all I can say is character development from the first film has improved drastically, and seeing more fight scenes. Maybe a better fight off with Scarlett Witch would have been different, but knowing Strange, he knew he had to lose this battle because Wanda is a more powerful entity than him. One of many battle scenes, but the one I’m talking about is where Wanda is searching for America and everyone in training and teachers, even the Sorcerer Supreme Wong using the protective shields against Wanda, but come on, she is a witch. She has tricks up her epic shelves!

Wong is a secondary character yet very powerful. You see him more in this film, yet a sad ending for him when his love had to sacrifice herself to protect him.

Overall, the film is filled with sadness, horror, development, the end of your seat, and most importantly, a lesson! Enough of me, now you watch it and tell me your opinion! Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook Scifiction and Scifiction.world!
