hevelincollection:

Cover of Burroughs Bulletin #5, 1971. It’s a copy of the first and only issue of Amazing Stories Annual, June 1927, cover art by Frank Paul and edited by Hugo Gernsbeck. Gernsbeck got the rights for first printing of this Edgar Rice Burroughs’ novel and brought out it along with stories by A. Merritt, Austin Hall, and H. G. Wells. Not a bad first, last, or any issue!

Everyone yesterday the world lost one of science fiction legendary creators of all time, Gerry Anderson.

Mr. Anderson most notably known for such ground breaking scifi television series such as Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5, Space 1999, and several others was a pioneer of his age!!

Shows like Thunderbirds, and Fireball XL5 used marionettes which are puppets controlled from above using wires or strings depending on regional variations. He used these puppets, along with miniature models, and other effects to present out of this world productions!!

Two of my personal favorites are the shows Thunderbirds, and Space 1999.

The world mourns the passing of this brilliant science fiction creator, and innovator.

I stumbled upon this very inspiring tribute which is above for your viewing.

Rest well Gerry, you will be missed, but never forgotten!! :)

Everyone here is the new trailer for Oblivion!

The science fiction movie Oblivion is based off of the graphic novel of the same name
created by Joseph Kosinski.

In this new film we follow the character of Jack Harper played by actor (Tom Cruise)
who lives thousands of feet up in the sky, and patrols whats left of earth after decades of war against a race known as the Scavs.

Harpers job consists of repairing drones. These drones help gather information and resources. Jacks mission is almost completed when a spaceship crashes with an woman onboard. Once she arrives things seem to get very interesting to say the least!

The special effects in this movie look incredible, and from the trailer above I think its certaintly worth seeing!

Enjoy!! :)
