Another series that will spin-off from acclaimed show WandaVision will be one focusing on Paul Bettany’s Vision, Deadline reports.
This new series will be titled Vision Quest and will focus on the android regaining his memories and figuring out a new purpose. It’s understood the comics run of the same name will also be a source of inspiration. A writer’s room will be opened for the proposed series soon.
There is a potential that the series might also bring back Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), who is last seen in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse.
Jeff Schaeffer will oversee the new series, along with the other WandaVision spin-off, Agatha: Coven Of Chaos. Coven of Chaos will debut on Disney+ in Winter 2023.
Marvel has so far not officially confirmed if this series is in production. Given that a writer’s room is yet to be opened, it’s likely that audiences will be waiting a while for the show.
Bettany has been non-committal about returning to the MCU.
“We really found a lane for ourselves, and this was different in tone from those movies. But you never know with Marvel, whether you’re done, or not. So I don’t want to call it the end yet. This was one of the most creative experiences of my life, joyful and free, making this show. To see it embraced by an audience the way it was, was so wonderful.”
Vision last appeared in WandaVision. S.W.O.R.D created a white, blank, version of the character to try and kill Wanda, but in a battle of philosophy with Wanda’s Vision he regained his memories and flew off to places unknown.
Paul Bettany has been with the MCU since it began in 2008. First voicing the A.I. J.A.R.V.I.S in the first Iron Man game, the actor then went on to portray Vision, first in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The next MCU series to be released on Disney+ will be Secret Invasion in early 2023.
