Star Wars Jedi: Survivor delayed until April 28

By Kieran Burt.

Fans of the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have received a disappointing update as EA has announced that the game will be delayed from its March 17 release date to April 28.

This news was stated on Twitter, with the official EA Star Wars account saying that the delay was because the team at Respawn will need extra time in order to hit the quality level that fans expect and deserve.

The game is currently in its final stage of bug, performance and stability testing.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the upcoming sequel to the 2019 game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It tells the canon story of Jedi Cal Kestis as he makes his way in the Star Wars galaxy under the Empire.

The gameplay trailer was released at The Game Awards 2022, teasing new villains and companions. A short teaser was also released at Star Wars Celebrations Anaheim, showing an Imperial Pau’an Senator with Cal’s lightsaber.

In related news, an excerpt of the book Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars was released. The book will bridge the gap between Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

The excerpt teases the infiltration of a base run by the Haxion Brood, the gang that briefly captured Cal during the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor releases on April 28 for the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
