Star Wars Celebrations Day 2 Experience
Day two of ‘Star Wars’ Celebration has wrapped, and it’s been just as excellent of a day as the first. The cosplay of fans continues to shine, with many different costumes with individual flair. There were also more amazing guests on the live stage, teasing fans with the upcoming ‘Andor’ season two and ‘Ahsoka’ season two.
If there is one thing that everyone agrees about Celebration, it’s that fans always go the extra mile when it comes to their costumes. There are the more traditional character designs, such as Imperial Officers, Grand Moff Tarkin, Kylo Ren, or Director Krennic Darth Maul, Darth Talon, displaying the painstaking lengths that fans go to to get everything just right about their favourite characters.
There are also costumes that allow fans to add a personal touch, and day two of Celebration showed this perfectly. For example, there were Tiki Troopers, which are a pair of Shoretroopers who decided they wanted to hang out and relax on the beach instead of just guarding it. There was a LEGO Mandalorian, and one that was the funniest was Darth Maul in a cowboy hat (a Darth Y’all meme reference no doubt), playing a ukulele. It’s so off the wall but brilliant.
A fan who had the moves as well as the looks was an elder Ahsoka cosplay, and the cosplayer had been taking time out to practice her saber strikes as well as her painting, as she wielded her sabers with an amazing amount of precision, whirling them around to impressed onlookers. It’s a testament to the fans dedication, which was shown across the convention.
The live stage continued to wow fans with key players like Diego Luna, Tony Gilroy, Rosario Dawson, Dave Filoni, Alan Tudyk and more teasing both ‘Andor’ and ‘Ahsoka’ season two. Filoni in particular teased a huge war between Thrawn and Admiral Ackbar, two of the best minds of their time. It’s a hugely exciting prospect for the future and makes the wait for the second season even more agonizing than it was before.
‘Star Wars’ Celebration concludes tomorrow, leaving one more day for exciting surprises.
