Star Trek: Resurgence physical release to get a comic pre-order bonus

‘Star Trek: Resurgence’ a narrative adventure game that released digitally in May is getting a physical release on October 27 for consoles.

The developer Dramatic Labs has revealed that there will be some special pre-order and day-one bonuses for the physical release of the game.

Customers will be able to pick up two free codes from participating retailers that will allow them to unlock a a pack that will prepare a new Federation Captain to begin their adventures in the MMORPG ‘Star Trek Online’ and the first issue of the ‘Star Trek: Resurgence’ comic series, a prequel to the game’s story.

Kevin Bruner, the founder and CEO of Dramatic Labs, expressed his excitement, said in a statement, “There’s nothing quite like donning your away-team uniform and embarking on an adventure with friends.

“That’s why we’re absolutely thrilled to partner with Cryptic Studios and IDW Publishing to offer this incredible digital pack with our retail release. IDW’s comic series weaves an incredible story that seamlessly leads into our game and seeing the Resolute in action in ‘Star Trek Online’ is simply mind-blowing!”

Justin Laird, producer of Cryptic Studios’ Star Trek Online, shared how special this partnership is for Cryptic Studios, said, “The entire ‘Star Trek Online’ team is thrilled to partner with Dramatic Labs and have the incredible opportunity to bring the ‘Star Trek: Resurgence’ hero ship, the U.S.S. Resolute, into ‘Star Trek Online’. We can’t wait for captains to experience it.

‘Star Trek: Resurgence’ was praised upon release for its immersive and branching storyline set in the era of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation.’

‘Star Trek: Resurgence’ is available for pre-order.

It will release on Xbox One/Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on October 27.
