Invincible Renewed for Season 5; Matthew Rhys Joins Season 4 Voice Cast

Amazon Prime Video’s superhero animed series ‘Invincible’ has been renewed for a fifth season ahead of the debut of the fourth season.

Voice acting for the fifth season is already complete, with new cast yet to be revealed.

Matthew Rhys has been announced to join the fourth season as villain Dinosaurus, a character who seeks to heal the world from the toxic effects of human civilization.

This was confirmed by ‘Invincible’ creator Robert Kirkman at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.

Kirkman has also teased the arrival of Grand Regent Thragg in ‘Invincible’ season four during an earlier interview with Variety, saying “It would certainly be weird if [Thragg] didn’t show up in the show,” Kirkman said.

“I mean, I don’t know. It’s so tough. Here’s what I’ll say: He’s been cast and he’s amazing.”

Speaking at SDCC, Kirkman said his hopes for ‘Invincible’ to get at least seven seasons for a full adaptation of the comic.

“Roughly seven to eight to nine seasons I think would be necessary to do the complete arc from the comics of Invincible,” he said. “So we’ll see. Hopefully we get there. We get a ton of support from Amazon Prime and couldn’t be more thrilled with how things are going. So, very excited and hopeful for it.”

The third and latest season of ‘Invincible’ finished its run in March 2025, will Viltrumite Conquest arriving to give Mark aka Invincible the smackdown of a lifetime.

The fourth season of the highly watched show will come out sometime in 2026, though a date has so far not been announced.
