A Thrilling Update on this Famous Movie’s Game Adaptation

Fans of classic sci-fi absurdity and park management sims have reason to rejoice, as “Mars
Attracts” is making significant strides towards its 2025 release. This officially licensed game,
developed by Outlier, puts players in the role of a Martian CEO, tasked with building and
managing a theme park on Mars where abducted humans serve as the star attractions. Recent
updates highlight the game’s commitment to its unique premise, allowing players to construct
detailed enclosures, manage staff, and even experiment on their human captives for the
entertainment of Martian guests.

One of the most engaging recent developments has been the launch of a successful alpha
playtest, which generated overwhelmingly positive feedback and a 93% positive review rate for
the demo. This early access period has been crucial for gathering community input, with
developers actively incorporating player suggestions into the game’s roadmap.

Notably, the team has focused on further differentiating “Mars Attracts” from other park builders
by leaning into the bizarre “Mars Attacks” IP, overhauling the research system with new UI and
animations, and refining mechanics for handling human escapes. Even more uniquely, Outlier
has called on fans to submit their best “Ack! Ack!” impressions to be used as ambient Martian
chatter, further immersing players in the chaotic, humorous world of the cult classic film. We love
developers who enjoy connecting with their fans!

There is no exact release date given at this time, but with the demo being released back in
March of this year with very little issues, it seems an announcement is just around the corner.
