STLV Las Vegas Returns in 2025, Here’s What to Expect

Creation Entertainment’s Star Trek Las Vegas (STLV) returns again to The Rio Las Vegas Hotel, this time with the convention lasting five days. It will run from August 6 with the final day on August 10, teasing 100+ guest celebrities, non-stop activities, programming, and partying.

Headlining the event are many guests, include: William Shatner, Walter Koenig, Jeri Ryan, Katie Mulgrew, Simon Pegg, Paul Wesley, Rebecca Romijn, Sonequa Martin-Green, Jonathan frakes, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, Colm Meaney, LeVar Burton, and Doug Jones. More guests are being announced on the official STLV website, where audiences can also book autographs and photo opportunities. Any cancellations will also be announced on the website.

Throughout the five days, there will be plenty of things to see and do. On Thursday August 7, a five-year anniversary panel for ‘Picard’ will be held, with special guests including Michelle Hurd, Peyton List, Evan Evagora, and Johnathan Del Arco. Group photo opportunities are also available. On August 9, fans can celebrate 30 years of ‘Voyager’ with cast members, such as Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Jeri Ryan, Tim Russ, Roxann Dawson, Robert Duncan McNeill, Robert Picardo, Garrett Wang, and Ethan Phillips.

The Inglorious Treksperts return to STLV once again with their own schedule, and fans can find a copy of it here. Brian Drew has this to say on the SLTV website about it:

“This year’s Las Vegas Creation convention featured a separate programming track from The Inglorious Treksperts, with a schedule so extensive it could’ve been a convention all its own.”

As is customary for the event, the Saturday night gala will be held at STLV, with composer Jeff Russo showcasing his award-winning music. On the STLV website, Russo said “It’s a dream project.” A complete orchestra will be present as well as select musicians from the band Tonic, which Russo is a founding member of. Tickets to the gala include some admission passes, but individual gala tickets can be bought on the official website. It should be noted that just buying a gala ticket doesn’t include admission to the convention.

For those who purchase a gold admission pass, they’ll be able to witness Trek to Broadway 2: The Duets. Conductor Emeritus Richard McGee will lead a star-studded big band of players from Nevada Pops Orchestra, as our amazing cast will sing duets from Broadway classics, which includes a full dinner.

Something that is fast becoming a tradition for STLV is a celebrity staged reading of classic sci-fi. This time it will be a reading of ‘The War of the Worlds’, and participants include Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Brian Austin Green, Dee Bradley Baker, Vanessa Marshall, Terry Farrell, David Gautreaux & Kirk Thatcher. The reading takes place on Friday at 7:30pm. A convention pass isn’t required to enter, as tickets are sold separately on the dedicated page

Admission passes are available for purchase on the official website too. Several tiers of passes are available, with the Gold pass allowing the right to reserve seats in the main hall for the full five days, complimentary in-person autographs from a range of Star Trek alum including Kate Mulgrew, Sonequa Martin-Green, Rebecca Romijn, Roxann Dawson, Chase Masterson, Daniel Davis, Peyton List, Vaughn Armstrong, Ethan Phillips, and more. Admission to the Thursday night dinner party, Saturday night gala, and after-gala dance is included, along with other benefits on the official website, where the pass can be purchased.

The Captain’s Chair pass allows owners to reserve seats in the main hall just behind and to the side of Gold pass seats for the five days, admission to the Saturday night gala and dance party. A special limited edition collector’s coin and a special creation swag bag is included. Other benefits can be found on the official website, along with purchase details. Copper passes allow the five day reservation of seats in the main hall behind or to the side of Gold and Captain’s Chair seats. Admission to the Saturday night gala is included, as well as a limited edition collector’s coin and other benefits that can be read about on the official website, along with purchase details.

A general admission pass will allow audiences to attend for the full five days (details on the official site), with the preferred single day pass allowing audiences to reserve a site in the main hall for the day along with the pass. Details including purchase can be found on the official site. A single day pass gives those that purchase it the ability to have a non-reserved set in the main hall, with details for the pass being on the official website.

VIP Experiences and Meet and Greet events for those fans who purchase it through an online auction sees holders be able to have meet and greets with the guests, as well as get in front of the line for anything that they already have a ticket for, excluding some signers in the Vendors room. Access to the VIP lounge is also included. At the time of writing no special 30-minute meet & greets are being auctioned, but keep an eye on the official site for details.

On the STLV website, there is some information about nearby hotels that attendees may wish to attend.

The event will overall feature plenty of ‘Star Trek’ alum for fans to meet, and over the five days provide some out-of-this-world experiences. There will be a lot of every type of ‘Star Trek’ fan, and August will soon be here to experience the event.
