This Intense Anime Made a Comeback This Month

The long-awaited third season of a popular dark fantasy sci-fi anime was recently released in
October after a four year wait, and fans couldn’t be more excited. The second arc of season
three was just released early February and will continue on until mid-March. Re:Zero – Starting
Life in Another World explores the story of Subaru Natsuki who helps a half-elf girl named
Emilia finds her stolen items as he is making his way back home from a convenience store.
However, the situation goes from bad to worse as they’re both brutally murdered, but Subaru
awakens to find himself in the same predicament as before, discovering he has the ability to
reverse time. With this newfound ability, he is determined to help Emilia and save her from a
predestined gruesome death.

To recap, season two revolves around a place known as the Sanctuary, a sealed–off place that
people are forced to live in due to a curse placed on it many years ago. This season had a lot to
unpack, between Subaru committing suicide and reverting time, to attempting everyone’s rescue
in the Sanctuary.

Without giving away too many spoilers, season three of the anime introduces the world of
Lugunica and a major antagonist that rules the kingdom within it. Many new characters are
introduced between the end of season one and three, and the second arc only gets more violent
and thrilling as it goes on!

So, Re:Zero fans, be sure to be on the lookout for future episodes. The second arc is estimated
to end on March 16th, 2025.
