Invincible Season 3 Teaser Trailer Reaction

Amazon has released the first teaser trailer for ‘Invincible’ season three, riffing on the season two trailer. It’s once again set in a cafe, but instead of meeting Allen the Alien, Mark gets a rather more stern talking to by Cecil, who chastises him for the time that he’s taking. Cecil also offers some insight into what season three might follow.

Mark is just innocently scrolling on his phone, like any normal teen would be doing with his freetime, when Cecil teleports in. Mark freaks out in a humourous fashion, urging Cecil to use a door, but Cecil shoots back at him, saying Mark ought to win a fight against a Viltrumite sometime. Unsurprisingly, this hurts Mark.

Mark questions how much money Cecil is wasting each time he teleports, and Cecil explains it’s more the the gross economic output of Liechtenstein, which was 7.36 billion US dollars in 2022. So Cecil is burning through extreme amounts of cash very quickly. Oh well. Teleporting is cool and convienent, and Cecil doesn’t seem to care. He reverts back to yelling at Mark that months have gone by since the Viltrumite attack, and more on there way, and yet Mark has been doing nothing to prepare for it. It’s a more subtle stand in for the fans, who are demanding to know what happens next in the story.

Defensively, Mark explains he’s been busy creating the next part, a meta moment from the show’s creators, but Cecil isn’t having it. Ceci even has some sarcasm for the four month break between season two part one and two, which Mark attempts to correct, but there’s no point. Cecil then says he and the Global Defense Agency will be taking over Mark’s training, hinting at the tension that will bound ot be in season three between them and Mark.

Mark resigns to his fate at the moment though, and simply asks when will all this start. Cecil rather humourously just shows him (and the audience) a white screen, with the date no doubt hidden on it. Mark calls him out, to which Cecil responds he’s part of a top secret organisation, what does he expect? Finally though, audiences (and Mark) get the date they’ve been waiting for, season three will start to come out from February 6. What’s better, is that there will be no midseason break (poor Mark)!

‘Invincible’ season three will start its release on Amazon Prime Video from February 6.
