Jurassic World Rebirth First Images, Title and Synopsis Revealed

Universal has revealed that the next ‘Jurassic World’ film will be called ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, and will release in 2025.

First pictures of the film were also unveiled, with Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey Keep crouching in grass, no doubt hiding from a dinosaur.

The synopsis offers plenty of details: “Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived.

“The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind. Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs.

“When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.”

More information adds the the film is “action-packed new chapter [that] sees an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air”.

Bailey Keep’s character is paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis. Other cast members include Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, the leader of Zora’s team, Rupert Friend as a Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs, Manuel Gacia-Rulfo as Reuben Delgado, a father caught up in events. Ed Skrein also plays an unnamed member of Zora’s crew.

Another image shows Ali as Kincaid holding a red flare with a terrified face, no doubt staring down a T-Rex.

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ will release in July 2025, directed by Gareth Edwards with a script written by David Koepp.
