Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 5 Official Teaser Trailer Reaction
‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ is coming to an end on Paramount+ with Season 5, bringing a close to the adventures for the crew of the USS Cerritos. It’s been a ride that the fans have enjoyed going on, even crossing over will other ‘Star Trek’ shows like ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ and ‘Star Trek: Deep Space 9’. The final trailer teases
The opening few moments reflect on the adventures that the crew have been on, the battles they’ve fought, and the challenges they’ve overcome. It’s all done in a tongue-in-cheek manner, one that ‘Lower Decks’ has developed over the course of the show. The characters even get involved in mocking the voiceover, sensing that he’s dragging on a bit too much.
Jumping into the inciting incident, the crew encounter yet another quantum fissure, one that they show no enthusiasm for fixing. But this portal shows why it deserves some respect, as it spits out an opposing Federation ship, one that looks very much like the USS Cerritos but from another dimension.
Audiences don’t get much time to breathe will watching the rest of the trailer, as it speeds through several different action scenes and small moments. The bowels of a Klingon ship can be seen, the crew get their faces sculpted to go on an undercover mission, and the crew mount an assult of another ship, attaching themselves onto its hull in space. It seems like what’s happening this season will be non-stop, even though its coming to an end.
The final scene sees one of the crew members speak to a Klingon with what appears to be his girlfriend, who doesn’t take too kindly to the idea of him being friendly with someone from Starfleet. The Starfleet member isn’t very subtle with her reaction, which unsurprisingly turns the male Klingon into a fit of rage, which will be funny to see how the rest of the scene plays out.
Fans won’t have long to wait, as ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ releases on Paramount+ on October 24.
