Heads Up Star-Wars Fans: New Projects Are Headed Our Way

The next couple of years will be an exciting time for fans of the Star Wars franchise.
Several new TV shows and even new films have been announced for the upcoming
months up until 2026 that we know of. Star Wars: Tales of the Empire and Star Wars: The
Acolyte were both released this year, and that’s only the beginning for what’s about to be
released next. This series has been popular and driving fans wild since 1977, and they’re
still going.

Lucasfilm/Disney

The last Star Wars related film was Solo: A Star Wars Story released in 2018. It’s been
several years since we’ve seen a movie from this franchise, but we won’t have to wait
much longer. The next film we can expect will be The Mandalorian & Grogu movie on
May 22nd, 2026. As of now, Taika Waititi’s Star Wars Movie is currently in development,
so there is no release date as of yet.

Until then, fans can expect upcoming TV shows and new seasons of current ones. There
is the Star Wars Skeleton Crew TV series expected to release this year with no exact date
of release currently, followed by season two of Andor in 2025 and season two of Ahsoka
in 2026. With the huge pause in projects over the past couple years, it will be nice for Star
Wars to make a comeback with exciting new shows and films in the upcoming future.

  • Cautious, about any new Star Wars shows or movies. Since Disney, the plot, story & quality have been missing.
It would be great to have a George Lucas, talent. He’s missed…., greatly.
