Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl Official Trailer Reaction
Wallace and Gromit return in ‘Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ to do battle against their most terrible foe yet, Feathers McGraw. The trailer teases the terrifying new technology Wallace will invent that will endanger humankind yet again, and it’s up to his loyal dog Gromit to stop him. Wallace should just retire, and stop these criminals from getting their hands on dangerous technology!
The trailer opens with a look at McGraw in prison, with him stewing over the fact that Wallace and Gromit caught him in his dastedly plot to steal the blue diamond. It’s clear this penguin is still seething with rage, ready to one day escape and take vengeance over the two citizens that thew him behind bars.
Cutting to Wallace and Gromit, life for them is quite normal. Wallace is still keen on pursuing helpful inventions, and in his effort to reduce the stress on his pooch’s life, comes up with a smart Gnome (like smartphone). Gromit is understandably terrified of this AI, that is called Norbot, and his fears are immediately justified when Norbot slices the tips of Gromit’s shows with over-eager lawnmowing and even taken over knitting Wallace a beautiful onesie.
Of course, Wallace can’t see the danger posed by such a cute robot. But when Norbot goes to recharge, that’s McGraw’s time to strike. He hacks into the gnome, and gives it new instructions. He scrolls through the hilarious options like unassuming, dull, booring, mildly annoying, grump, mean-spirited, all the way down to evil. Honestly, what was Wallace thinking programming all these options?
Wallace and Gromit can immediately see the effects of this change, with Norbots eyes becoming a full black void of nothing. He steals Wallace’s car and then goes on a crime rampage, stealing everything in the neighborhood that’s not nailed down (and even a few bits that are!) Poor old Wallace gets the blame for this, so the pair have to investigate what’s going on.
The trailer then transitions in showing several clips in quick succession, including one where Wallace and Gromit realise their old nemisis his returned. The action and scale of this film has certainly been ramped up since the pairs’ previous adventures. The final clip ramps up the humour, with Feathers having quickly developed more Norbots to terrorise the nation, and when he walks past they do a robotic salute. One who plays the bagpipes quickly gets shunted into the water below.
‘Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ releases in the UK on Christmas Day, and worldwide on January 3, 2025.
