Tom Holland Reveals Why He Hid His Funko Pop Collection

Funko Pops have become more popular with fans of movies and TV, with fans proudly displaying their collection for all to see.

But Tom Holland, best known for playing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Spider-Man, admits to a certain amount of shame with his collection.

Speaking with GQ Spain, the star said “Funko Pops. I love Funko Pops. 43 bucks, worth every penny,” he said

“I think they’re really cool. I’ve actually collected all of my Funko Pops. I kept them in my house for a long time but then it kind of got to the point where it looked like I had a shrine for myself.” Holland continued.

“I had to get rid of them because it was quite embarrassing, so they’re in a cupboard but I love them.”

Holland last appeared as Spider-Man in the 2021 film ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, which saw him team up with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s version of the character via the multiverse.

He will return to the MCU in ‘Spider-Man 4’, which will be directed by ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ director Destin Daniel Cretton and set for a July 2026 release date.

The ending of ‘No Way Home’ left Spider-Man in a world where everyone had forgotten Peter Parker, even his close friends.

The next MCU movie will be ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, which releases worldwide on February 14.

Anthony Mackie takes up the role of Captain America as he seeks to stop a world war and comes to blows with President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will be played by Harrison Ford.

The film also sees Tim Blake Nelson return to the MCU as Samuel Sterns, aka the Marvel villain known as The Leader. He only previously appeared in the 2008 ‘The Incredible Hulk’.
