The Secrets of the Silent Witch Shouting for a Summer Release
The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Secrets of the Silent Witch is set to premiere on July 4, 2025. Produced by Studio Gokumi, the series is directed by Yasuo Iwamoto, with Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director and handling series composition. The anime brings to life the story of Monica Everett, a prodigious mage known as the “Silent Witch” for her unique ability to cast spells without incantations. Despite her formidable power, Monica is intensely shy, having mastered silent magic to avoid speaking in public. Her latest assignment involves undercover protection of the second prince, Felix Arc Ridill, at the prestigious Serendia Academy.
The voice cast features Saya Aizawa as Monica Everett and Shogo Sakata as Prince Felix. Additional cast members include Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, and Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard. Rina Tayama composed the series’ music in collaboration with Cygames, and the band Hitsujibungaku performs the opening and ending theme songs.
Secrets of the Silent Witch is based on the light novel series written by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. The novels were initially serialized on Shōsetsuka ni Narō and later published under Kadokawa Books, with nine volumes released as of February 2025. The series has also been adapted into a manga illustrated by Tobi Tana, serialized on Enterbrain’s B’s Log Comic. Yen Press has licensed both the light novels and manga for English publication, allowing international fans to experience Monica’s journey from a reclusive genius to a reluctant guardian in a world of magic and intrigue.
