The trailer also introduced new characters, Jaralis and Werner (also known as Varnal), demi-human leaders from the nation of Siltvelt, whose allegiances and political agendas promise to complicate Naofumi’s journey. Behind the scenes, Kinema Citrus returns as animation studio with Hitoshi Haga reprising his role as director, and Keigo Koyanagi on series composition.

Character design continues under the creative team of Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu, and Masahiro Suwa, while Kevin Penkin crafts the score alongside Alfredo Sirica and Natalie Jeffreys. The opening theme “Resolution” is performed by MADKID, and the ending theme “Once in Eternity” is sung by Chiai Fujikawa, marking a sonic return to the emotional and thematic roots fans have come to expect.
