Star Wars: Hunters coming to PC in 2025

‘Star Wars: Hunters’ will be making its way over to PC in January 2025, Disney has confirmed.

In a blog post on starwars.com, it has been confirmed that the game will be releasing onto the Steam Early Access programme on January 27, 2025, where players can download it for free.

Accompanying tihs announcement was a teaser trailer for the PC build, teasing players what they could expect.

Players will be able to experience higher resolution textures and shadows, as well as higher rendering quality and high detail PC layer in select maps.

Keyboard, mouse, and wireless control support will also be added, as well as keybinding.

The game was released on June 4, 2024 onto Nintendo Switch and mobile gaming platforms.

It was developed by Zynga in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, and is a  4v4 third-person competitive area combat game. In universe, all these matches take place on the planet Vespaara.

Players could take on the roles as some wackier ‘Star Wars’ characters, such as two Jaws stood on top of each other (called Utooni), and a droid called J-3DI who thinks he can wield the force.

On Metacritic, the game achieved a score of 57, which is a middling score.

The game got a recommendation from SciFiction reviewer Domonic Riley, who concluded that “The fact it’s a Star Wars based game means there are a lot of fans who’ll check it out for that reason alone, and its mobile platform means they can keep going back to it for some casual gameplay whenever they want a slice of a galaxy far, far away.”

Official numbers for the number of downloads haven’t been released, but some estimates believe that there have been at least 790k.

‘Star Wars: Hunters’ was first announced in 2018 and was best by delays before it released.
