Star Wars Celebration predictions

Star Wars Celebrations Europe is fast approaching, with it coming up in less than a month. Lucasfilm always comes armed to the event with new trailers and announcements, for example the first trailer for Andor and the confirmation of the Tales of the Jedi shorts. This year is unlikely to be any different, so now is a great time to try and predict some of the news that will come out of the event.

Star Wars film announcement

Star Wars films at the moment are in a rocky place. With Rogue Squadron and Kevin Feige’s film being shelved, fans are left with a sour taste in their mouth about the state of the films. The next movie is scheduled to come out in 2025, so it makes sense that fans get some kind of inkling of what Lucasfilm are up to. There is a lot of speculation about whether this will happen, and even what the announcement might be. All fans have to do is wait.

Grand Admiral Thrawn cast announcement

Grand Admiral Thrawn has been a fan-favourite character ever since his introduction in the original Thrawn trilogy of books, and ever since his tease in The Mandalorian season two, fans have been clamouring for his introduction to live-action. It seems like he will be a huge part of the Ahsoka series, and with that releasing this year it only makes sense we learn who is playing the character, whether it is Lars Mikkelsen or someone else.

Ahsoka trailer

As previously mentioned, Ahsoka is scheduled to release this year. On Saturday, there’ll be a panel for the show, where no doubt footage will be shared. Hopefully this footage will be made public, so audiences can get a flavour of what the show is like. At the very least, a release date is likely.

Skeleton Crew release date

Skeleton Crew is noticeable as it doesn’t have its own panel, but that doesn’t mean it won’t feature at the event. On Friday, Lucasfilm will be holding its Showcase panel, where hopefully audiences will learn of the release date, along with some other details. Audiences currently know very little about it but that might all be about to change.

Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 trailer

Star Wars: Visions Volume two has a release date of May 4, with studios from all over the world collaborating on the project. Fans are eager to get their first look at the new series, and during the Monday during the panel for the show.

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures trailer

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures will be the first show to delve into The High Republic era, meaning that plenty of fans are waiting for it with baited breath. It does have its own panel, which makes it likely audiences will receive their first public look at the project.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 confirmation

With Star Wars: The Bad Batch season two coming to a close, fans are wondering whether the show will get renewed. This has been a point of contention, but with it ending so close to Celebrations and there being a panel dedicated to the show, it makes it all the more likely that there will be a renewal for Cloneforce 99.

Star Wars comics crossover news

Earlier this year, Marvel Comics gave an ominous tease for an upcoming Star Wars comics cross over event, but hasn’t yet explained exactly what it is yet. Their panel on Monday is likely to give audiences a hint about what exactly is going on.

The High Republic Phase III news

The third phase of the High Republic is fast approaching, and with a panel on Saturday, a sneak peek at what’s in store for the final stage of the project is all but certain. Hopefully Lucasfilm will release a full list of books and authors, and when fans can expect them.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny trailer

It’s important not to forget the non Star Wars property, Indiana Jones. While Star Wars Celebrations is predominantly about the franchise, there is a high likelihood of another trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny film. With the film’s release scheduled for the end of June, this would be a perfect time to show off more of the film to get audiences even more excited about it.
And those are ten predictions for what will happen at this year’s Star Wars Celebrations. There are bound to be more reveals at the event itself, but what are your predictions for the event? Let us know!
