Star Wars Celebrations panels announced

With Star Wars Celebrations under a month away, Lucasfilm has published the full list of the panels happening across the four days of the event, and there is a lot to dive into. With so much going on, it’s best to take a look at some of the highlights of what’s been announced, and what audiences can expect from each panel. In most cases, they will be hosted by Amy Ratcliffe. 

Friday April 7

Lucasfilm’s Studio Showcase

Kicking off the event on the Friday, this showcase will bring together the current crop of live action filmmakers working at the studio, to discuss the several Star Wars projects, from The Mandalorian, Andor and much more. 

This panel will take place for an hour and a half, starting at 11am and finishes at 12:30pm. It will be held on the Celebration Stage and will be streamed to the Twin Suns & Galaxy Stages.

The Making of Andor Season One

In the afternoon of Friday, Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna and their team of creatives will take fans through the journey of making the critically acclaimed Star Wars series. Does this mean we will finally get the behind the scenes look on Disney+? We’ll have to wait and see. 

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 3pm and finishes at 4pm. It will be held on the Celebration Stage streamed to the Twin Suns & Galaxy Stages.

Saturday April 8

Ahsoka

Starting the second day of Celebrations strong, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and special guests will give audiences an upcoming look at the Ahsoka live-action. No doubt these special guests will be revealed in due course. This panel will be what audiences are looking forward to most, with many hoping for a cast reveal for Grand Admiral Thrawn.

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 11am and finishes at 12pm. It will be held on the Celebration Stage and streamed to the Twin Suns & Galaxy Stages.

Star Wars: The High Republic 

The High Republic Phase two is well underway for the publishing initiative, and this panel teases more reveals, along with a sneak peek at Phase three. The panel will be made up of High Republic authors, but no specific names have been given.

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 1pm and finishes at 2pm. It will be held on the Galaxy Stage.

The Clone Wars – 15 Year Anniversary

Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Matthew Wood, Dee Bradley Baker, Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor take a look back at the beginning of Lucasfilm Animation and reflect on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 5:30pm and finishes at 6:30pm. It will be held on the Galaxy Stage.

Sunday April 9

Villains of the Sequel Trilogy

Starting off Sunday, Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), and Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma) come together to discuss their roles as the primary villains of the Sequel trilogy. 

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 11am and finishes at 12pm. It will be held on the Celebration Stage and streamed to the Galaxy Stage.

Hyperspace Stories: Dark Horse Comics Returns!

Editor Matt Dryer and several authors take to the stage to discuss Hyperspace Stories, High Republic Adventures and sneak peeks at the future.

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 12:30pm and finishes at 1:30pm. It will be held on the Galaxy Stage.

A look back at Obi-Wan Kenobi

Guests Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Indira Varma, Vivien Lyra Blair and executive producer/director Deborah Chow take a look back at the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, reflecting on their experiences. 

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 1:30pm and finishes at 2:30pm. It will be held on the Celebration Stage.

Lucasfilm Publishing: Stories From a Galaxy Far, Far Away…

Book fans rejoice. Not only are there sneak peeks at High Rpeublic books in a prior panel, but a separate one will feature book announcements and details spanning the entire timeline of Star Wars.

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 5:30pm and finishes at 2:30pm. It will be held on the Twin Suns Stage.

Monday April 10

Star Wars: The Bad Batch

Star Wars: The Bad Batch executive producer and supervising director Brad Rau, executive producer and head writer Jennifer Corbett, executive producer Athena Portillo, actors Dee Bradley Baker (the Bad Batch) and Michelle Ang (Omega) head down to Star Wars Celebrations to discuss highlights from the second season and kick off the final day at the event. 

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 11:00am and finishes at 12:00pm. It will be held on the Celebrations Stage and will be streamed to the Galaxy and Twin Suns Stage.

Marvel Comics presents: Star Wars

Marvel editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski and some other editors from the company for a conversation about Star Wars comics, with announcements and reveals about upcoming releases. 

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 12:30am and finishes at 1:30pm. It will be held on the Galaxy Stage.

Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 

Star Wars: Visions executive producers, and filmmakers from Aardman, Cartoon Saloon, D’ART Shtajio, El Guiri, La Cachette, Lucasfilm, Punk Robot, Studio Mir, Triggerfish, and 88 Pictures join Star Wars Celebrations for an exclusive first look at Star Wars: Visions Volume 2.

This panel will take place for an hour, starting at 1:00am and finishes at 2:00pm. It will be held on te Celebration Stage.

Closing Ceremony 

To cap off Star Wars Celebrations 2023, there will be a one hour closing ceremony taking place at 4:00pm until 5:00pm. It will be live on the Celebration Stage, Galaxy, Twin Suns, & Star Wars Celebration LIVE! Stages.
