Star Trek comics releasing in 2024

IDW made 2023 a big year for Star Trek’ comics, with its first-ever crossover event called Star Trek: Day of Blood’ which saw characters from the main ‘Star Trek’ comic and ‘Star Trek: Defiant.’ So far, 2024 is shaping up to be a similarly great year, with some comics already dated for a release.

A hardcover collected edition of the ‘Star Trek: Day of Blood’ will go on sale on March 12, 2024, which will feature Star Trek: Day of Blood, Star Trek: Day of Blood-Shaxs’ Best Day, Star Trek 2023 Free Comic Book Day issue, Star Trek issues #11-12, and Star Trek: Defiant issues #6-7.

Both ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Star Trek: Defiant’ will continue with new arcs throughout the year.

‘Star Trek: Sons of Star Trek’ is a four-part miniseries announced at New York Comic Con in 2023 and will explore the aftermath of the ‘Day of Blood’ through the eyes of Jake Sisko Nog and Alexander Rozhenko.

IDW Publishing

It will be written by Morgan Hampton and have images drawn by artist Angel Hernandez.

‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – The Scorpius Run’, a tie-in arc with ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ will come to an end early this year, and it’s unlikely that another run will begin before ‘Strange New Worlds’ season three airs, unless IDW releases something to cover the gap between season two and three.

Graphic novel writer Ryan North and artist Chris Fenoglio will team up to create ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks: Warp Your Own Way OGN – Choose Your Own Adventure,’ an interactive graphic novel announced at New York Comic Con 2023.

It has a release window of Fall 2024 and fans will get more information on it before it comes out.

That’s all the comics fans know about at the moment, but IDW will likely release more information on future comics and their release dates as the year progresses.
