Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Delayed Again

‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ has been delayed once again.

The conclusion to Miles Morales’ adventure will now land in cinemas on June 25, 2027.

An official reason from distributor Sony was not provided.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Sony have made this delay as it will be a better date to catch those on summer break, as well as those outside the US.

‘Beyond the Spider-Verse’ is the finale of the ‘Spider-Verse’ movies, beginning with ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ in 2018 and continuing with ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ in 2023.

‘Into the Spider-Verse’ won an Oscar for best animated feature and earned $393.6 million at the global box office.

‘Across the Spider-Verse’ continued this success, earning $690.5 million at the global box office, showing how the franchise has only gained in popularity.

Sony initally planned for ‘Beyond the Spider-Verse’ to debut in cinemas in March 2024. But the Hollywood strikes delayed production, forcing them to delay the film.

The series stars Shameik Moore as the voice of Miles Morales, as he travels across the multiverse fighting alongside and with all kinds of Spider-People, like Hailee Steinfeld’s Ghost Spider, aka Gwen Stacy, Jake Johnson’s Peter B. Parker, Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man 2099 aka Miguel O’Hara, and Jason Schwartzman’s The Spot.

Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson serve as directors for ‘Beyond the Spider-Verse’ with screenplay is written by creators Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with David Callaham.

The film is produced by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Jinko Gotoh and executive producers are Aditya Sood and Christina Steinberg.

At CinemaCon 2025, filmmakers Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson shared some early footage and official images from ‘Beyond the Spider-Verse’, teasing the film.
