Nicolas Cage Swings Back into Action in New Marvel Series Premiering in 2026

Fans of the gritty, trench coat-clad web-slinger have much to anticipate as the live-action
Spider-Noir series is set to premiere in 2026 on MGM+ and Prime Video. Reprising his critically
acclaimed voice role from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Nicolas Cage will embody the
titular character, bringing his unique intensity to the Great Depression-era hero. The series
promises to delve into the past of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s
New York, as he grapples with his former life as the city’s lone superhero.

Developed by Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher), who also serve
as co-showrunners, Spider-Noir will consist of eight episodes and is expected to offer original
stories rather than directly adapting existing comic book arcs. With filming already wrapped and
post-production underway, audiences can look forward to a dark and intriguing new chapter in
the Spider-Verse, potentially even with both black-and-white and colored versions of the series.
