New ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Film: A Look at the Official Roster
The beloved cosmic misfits, the Guardians of the Galaxy, have seen a significant shift in their
official roster following the emotional conclusion of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. While the
original core team embarked on new personal journeys, a new generation has stepped up to
protect the cosmos, led by a familiar, furry face.
While James Gunn may have left Marvel Studios and his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy has
ended, it’s been revealed that Marvel Studios plans a new Guardians of the Galaxy film after the
release of Avengers: Secret Wars. In the meantime, here’s what we know so far regarding the
roster, judging by the comics:
● Kraglin Obfonteri: Having inherited Yondu’s iconic Yaka Arrow and gained greater
proficiency with it, Kraglin has transitioned from a Ravager sidekick to a full-fledged
member of the Guardians, showcasing his growing heroism.
● Cosmo the Spacedog: The adorable and immensely powerful telekinetic canine,
formerly confined to the Collector’s museum, has officially joined the ranks, adding a
unique set of abilities and a dose of charm to the group.
● Adam Warlock: After his complex introduction and redemption arc in Vol. 3, the
immensely powerful Adam Warlock has become a part of the new Guardians.
● Phyla-Vell: Introduced as one of the High Evolutionary’s genetically engineered “Star
Kids,” Phyla, with her burgeoning powers and strong moral compass, represents the
newest generation of galactic protectors. She holds significant potential for future
storylines.
● Blurp: Adam Warlock’s adorable, furry companion, Blurp, also seems to have found a
place within the new team.
This new iteration of the Guardians signals an exciting future for Marvel’s cosmic corner. With
Rocket at the helm, supported by a mix of returning familiar faces and powerful new recruits, the
galaxy is in capable (though still chaotic) hands. It’s worth noting that in the comics, the
