New Animated Netflix Series Based on Old Popular Video Game is Coming, and Fans are Excited

An animated TV series is making its appearance on Netflix soon, and fans of the video game
couldn’t be more excited. Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, the animated adaptation of Tom Clancy’s
Splinter Cell, is coming to Netflix in 2025, exploring the life of a black ops agent Sam Fischer
(voiced by movie icon Liev Schreiber) and his missions while working for The Fourth Echelon, a
US Government division.

The video game was released over twenty years ago in 2002 by Ubisoft, who was responsible
for the recent Star Wars Outlaws game, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and many other popular
games. This new show will bring the joys of action, sci-fi, thriller, and vibrant animations, and
could easily appeal to fans of the Netflix anime Castlevania. The series will also be developed
by Ubisoft Film & Television.

There is no specific date set for this show to be released, but it’s predicted to make an
appearance sometime in 2025 and was revealed during Netflix’s Geeked Week of 2024. While
the video game is old, this could inspire popularity to the point of bringing it back to the gaming
world, but only time will tell.
