LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy Official Trailer Reaction

LEGO and Lucasfilm have partnered with each other once again for an original and non-canonical ‘Star Wars’ special, called ‘LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy’. It’s a what if take on the galaxy, a fun reversal on common icons and incorporating some memes into the galaxy far far away.

Star Wars

A large portion of this trailer continues footage of the first trailer release not long ago, so there’s little point going over it here. Audiences are very quickly caught up on the show’s premise, with Sig Greebling telling stories of the ‘Star Wars’ heroes audiences all know and love to his friends, until Jedi Bob hilariously tells him that he goofed by messing with the Cornerstone, and now everything is out of place.

There’s a quick montage of everything that’s now been switched, with key things like Imperial AT-ATs on the ice planet Hoth being changed to Rebel AT-ATs on the lava world Mustafar. Some new funny additions are “It’s a trap” clone trooper and seeing podracers on a water world. Hopefully though this concept will be taken further than simply just the opposite of the things we already know.

This does lead to a hilarious scene were LEGO has Luke Skywalker, who in this alternate galaxy is a lazy beach boy, recap everything Luke does in the normal ‘Star Wars’ galaxy, but with some LEGO flair and humour. No doubt this Luke will need to prove himself.

Audiences are then introduced to the gang of Sith who will be terrorising the heroes, lead by the fearsome Darth Jar Jar. In the background, it seems like one of them is an evil Nubs from ‘Star Wars Young Jedi Adventures’ which is a fun inclusion from all the different types of ‘Star Wars’ media out there, not just the big profile films and shows.

There are some Ewok Bounty Hunters flying their own version of Y-Wings, and then what looks like a new version of the Jedi Order flying X-Wing TIE Fighters. Audiences see this new Order later on, an eclectic mix of Yoda, Mace Windu, and General Grievous, to add to that multiverse touch.

There are several more shots of quick action, signifying that when this four-part show releases on Disney+ on September 13, audiences won’t be staved of cutesy and fun visuals and exciting action.
