Invincible Renewed for Season 4 and Soldier Boy and Stormfront Spin-Off Confirmed at SDCC 2024

Amazon Prime Video has announced that its two flahship superhero properties, ‘The Boys’ and ‘Invincible’, won’t be ending any time soon, as their announcements at San Diego Comic-Con promised fans more from the two franchises.

‘Invincible’ will be renewed for a fourth season on the streaming service. The show currently has two seasons available to watch, and there’s been no confirmation on when the third season will release.

Prime Video unveiled a new poster for ‘Invincible’ Season 3, teasing a new blue suit for Mark.

Turning to ‘The Boys’ franchise, Soldier Boy actor Jensen Ackles revealed he and Aya Cash, Stormfront, will be starring in a prequel to ‘The Boys’ called ‘Vought Rising’.

On stage, Ackles described the show as a “lurid pulp saga prequel.”

Soldier Boy will also appear in ‘The Boys’ Season 5, something that the post-credits of Season 4 hinted at.

In an interview with Variety, ‘The Boys’ showruunner Eric Kripke said “He’s going to be in Season 5 quite a lot.

“We want him to be a big character. There’s a lot of good father-son emotion between him and Homelander that we never really got a chance to play that we’re really interested in.”

Speaking to GamesRadar+ after SDCC, Kripke said that Soldier Boy in ‘The Boys’ Season 5 will be “really driven to kill Butcher after Butcher betrayed him in Season 3.”

Turning to ‘The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power’, a new trailer for the upcoming Season 2 release, teasing more of what fans could expect with Tom Bombadil, Sauron, the dwarves and more.

It even teased the creation of the other rings, with Sauron in his fair form tricking Celebrimbor into crafting them.
