Fallout Season 2 Unveils Poster and Confirms December Release Date

Prime Video has released the first poster for the upcoming second season of the adaptation of ‘Fallout’.

The poster teases the location of New Vegas, with key characters Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, Maximus, and The Ghoul’s dog companion, Dogmeat, on the outskirts of the town.

New Vegas is a key location in the 2010 video game ‘Fallout: New Vegas,’ developed by Obsidian Entertainment.

It’s become a fan-favourite game, and social media posts from the set suggest that the New Vegas Strip will appear, with iconic buildings like the Lucky 38 Resort and Casino and The Tops, as well as roadside landmark Dinky the T-Rex.

New Vegas was teased at the end of season one with bad guy Overseer Hank MacLean crawling to the city in Power Armor.

While the ‘Fallout’ show is canon to the universe of ‘Fallout’, the show takes place 15 years after the events of ‘New Vegas’, as confirmed by co-showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet in an interview with GQ in April 2024.

“All we really want the audience to know is that things have happened, so that there isn’t an expectation that we pick the show up in season two, following one of the myriad canon endings that depend on your choices when you play [Fallout: New Vegas],” Wagner said.

“With that post-credits stuff, we really wanted to imply, guys, the world has progressed, and the idea that the wasteland stays as it is decade-to-decade is preposterous to us. It’s just a place [of] constant tragedy, events, horrors — there’s a constant churn of trauma. We’re definitely implying more has occurred.”

‘Fallout’ season two is confirmed for a December release, though an exact date hasn’t been announced.

A third season of the show has already been confirmed.

‘Fallout’ season one was released in 2024, and became an instant hit on Prime Video.

The show stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins.
