Everything Announced During The October Xbox Partner Preview

Xbox’s Partner Preview showed off many interesting new games. We got to see more gameplay from WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers. The action RPG EDENS Zero will be coming to PC and Xbox Series consoles. Phasmophobia and Animal Well are two indie games that were announced for console release. Here’s all the exciting games that were shown.

  1. Mouse P.I For Hire

Mouse P. I For Hire is a first person shooter in the style of 1930s cartoons. Jack Pepper will take on corrupt cops,  gangs, the mob, and politicians throughout Mouseburg. Players will get a variety of weapons and upgrades while the game has a more light-hearted take on the genre. There promises to be plenty of collectibles as players explore everywhere from alleyways down to the docks. This is currently planned to have a 2025 release.

  1. Chronos: The New Dawn

Chronos: The New Dawn is a third-person survival horror game that pits players against terrifying abominations. At the same time there’s a mystery to unravel throughout time. Set in a brutal retro-futurist world still reeling from a cataclysmic event and the future, players are seeking rifts that allow them to time travel. Combat will require strategy to stay alive between searching for important people who died during The Change. Chronos has a intriguingly dark concept, and it’s also slated for a 2025 release.

  1. Alan Wake II: The Lake House

The Lake House expansion for Alan Wake II will have new monsters and protagonist, but returns to the survival horror structure of the base game. The Painted will be able to move through supernatural surfaces to hunt players. This DLC also comes with a free update to the base game. Players will be able to choose “assist mode” to avoid deaths, infinite ammo and flashlight batteries, and one-shot enemies. There will also be some minor updates for PS5 users. The Lake House will launch on October 22nd.

  1. The Legend of Baboo

In The Legend of Baboo, players will fight to save their family from demonic forces. Sepehr and his dog Baboo have unique skills that can be combined to take down enemies, solve puzzles and traverse platforming sections. There’s multiple realms to explore with a demon guardian to defeat. Both characters have skill trees to power up their moves while unlocking new skills. News on a release window has yet to be announced.

  1. Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

In this Like A Dragon spinoff, players will take on the role of Gojo Majima. He’s lost his memories and decides to become a pirate. Players will search for clues to this ex-yakuza’s past before they’re inevitably pulled into conflict. Gameplay consists of gathering a crew, participating in real time canon battles before boarding enemy ships, and discovering hidden islands. Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will release on February 20th, 2025.

  1. Subnautica 2

Subnautica 2 will be playable solo or with a friend. In this new adventure, players will discover a hostile world where humans wouldn’t survive. At least not without major changes. Bases will be more customizable but survival still involves crafting the right items and submersibles. Discovering this planet’s secrets will require scanning new life forms and adapting your own. This game will come out in early access next year.

  1. Eternal Strands

Eternal Strands is an action adventure game where players must retake their ancestral homes. Combine magical abilities with multiple weapons to defeat enemies. Use the environment to create new paths or the elements to your advantage. This game has real-time destruction so players can set things on fire before hurling them at enemies. The creatures Brynn fights will be humanoid while others tower above her. However, the game promises every area will be fully scalable. Eternal Strands is expected to release early next year. 

  1. Mistfall Hunter

Mistfall Hunter is a third person PVPVE extraction game. It will offer multiple classes to be geared up, combos and skills to unlock, and strategic combat. Players will face intense battles against monsters known as the Gyldenized and other players. To keep the loot found during a match they will need to escape. The ultimate goal is to repair the web of fate after all the gods have fallen, so hope can return to the world. Mistfall Hunter is expected to release some time next year.

  1. Wheel World

Wheel World will let players race elite teams, customize your bike. As Kat it’s the player’s responsibility to perform the Great Shift ritual. To do this she’ll need to travel a sprawling open world to gather the legendary parts needed. Kat will need to save the spirits of Wheel World to stop the universe from unraveling. The expected release date is still to be announced.

  1. FBC: Firebreak

FBC: Firebreak is the first co-op game from Remedy. Set in the same world as Control: The Oldest House, otherworldly creatures are attacking the mysterious Bureau. Players will be a part of the Firebreak team who are heavily geared first responders. Victory will be achieved through teamwork as players pair up with friends or strangers to battle reality breaking entities. There will be various tools, grenades, support items, and paranatural augments to make customizable loadouts to fit unique play styles.  Firebreak is a standalone adventure that is expected to launch in 2025.
