Batman villains Bane and Deathstroke to reportedly appear in a movie together

The Batman villains Bane and Deathstroke are reportedly being roped together to star in a movie together, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

While no director has signed onto the project yet, scribe Matthew Orton will be developing the script. 

Bane is an archnemesis to Batman, who injects himself with steriods to fight Batman, is an iconic villain, though was only introduced in the 1990s by writer Chuck Dixon and artist Graham Nolan. 

The character truly made his mark in DC comics in the ‘Knightfall’ arc, where he he brutally broke Batman’s back. 

Bane has appeared in several video games and TV series, and made his big screen debut in Christopher Nolan’s final installment of his Batman trilogy, the 2012 film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, where he was played by Tom Hardy. 

Deathstroke was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez in 1980 as a villain to the Teen TItans, though the assassin has squared off againt Batman and the Justice League, and headlining his own comics.

He’s appeared in several animated and video games. Esai Morales played the character in the live-action ‘Titans’ series, and Joe Manganiello cameoed as the character at the end of some Zack Synder DC films. 

Manganiello was attached to play the character as the villain in ‘The Batman’, which was then directed and starred by Ben Affleck. 

Manganiello also was supposed to star in a Deathstroke movie of his own from Gareth Evans, though this never came to pass. 

DC Studios have yet to confirm if this report is accurate.
