Astrodle Lets Players Be A God With Help From The Zodiac

Astrodle is an incremental space shooter where players collect zodiac essences to become a god. Blast blobs to collect points and upgrade your ship. This is an idle game but there is an end in sight. It’s meant to pass some time. Not go on indefinitely. Unless you want it to. It can be completed within a day.

While the rocket has guns that can be upgraded, you can also target blobs yourself. Just in case you want to slightly speed things up. Or you can let Astrodle play itself while simply stepping in to manage upgrades. The art style is bright and cartoon-like. It’s easy to tell what everything is despite the simple design.

The screen can feel a little cluttered. You’re restricted to a tiny window, which is fine at first. It’s still a relaxing experience overall. After a few hours this may not even be an issue. The game’s repetitive music may be what makes you turn the game off. Or at least mute it.

Astrodle is a pleasant sci-fi adventure for gamers who still want goals but no stress. Playtime can be broken up over multiple days. Seeing how different upgrades work together is one incentive for replayability. The low entry point is another. There’s really nothing stopping you from becoming an overpowered super being.
