Sci-Fi Video Games to Look Forward to this Year

2025 is the year for video games and players have a lot to look forward to, especially regarding
the science-fiction genre. Between new IPs and sequels, gamers won’t get bored with what’s in
store ahead.

One of the games on the horizon is an action role playing game, The Outer Worlds 2, a
standalone sequel to the popular original game that’s set in the Arcadia star system which was
completely colonized by megacorporation’s. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, fans are
extremely excited after the major success of the first game. There is no set release date other
than it will be released sometime in 2025.

Another anticipated sci-fi game is a prequel to Bethesda’s Doom. That’s right, Doom: The Dark
Ages is making its arrival this year, making it the eighth main entry in the Doom franchise and
third installment of the modern series. While this game is less sci-fi than the other games, it will
still have the grim setting as the other games, only this time set in the Medieval time period. This
game is expected to release on May 15th, 2025.

A new face in the world of gaming is making an arrival this year as well, known as Hell Is Us, an
open-world action game developed by Rogue Factor and published by Nacon. This game is a
third-person game combining intense melee combat and exploration, fighting against dark
beings known as “Hollow Walkers.” No exact date has been determined yet, but will be released
in 2025.
