New ‘Deadpool 3’ set photos tease Wolverine in a yellow suit

‘Deadpool 3’ is less than a year away, and audiences have finally got their first look at the film via Ryan Reynolds’ Instagram.

He posted a story of him and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in a comic’s accurate yellow spandex costume captioned “don’t blink.”

It’s the first time the costume will make an appearance on-screen, since in the Fox X-Men films Wolverine mostly wore black leather.

The 2000 ‘X-Men’ movie even took a jab at the costume, with Cyclops asking Wolverine would prefer to wear yellow spandex.

The helmet and fins are nowhere in sight, but they will no doubt appear in the film

The picture was also posted to the film’s official Twitter account.

Another picture released was a destroyed 20th Century Fox logo, no doubt a meta jab at the previous studio that used to own Deadpool and Wolverine.

Plot details on ‘Deadpool 3’ are kept tightly under wraps, but audiences have some idea what the dynamic between Deadpool and Wolverine will be, and they don’t sound good.

Speaking to The Empire Film Podcast, Jackman said “[They] hate each other. “I’m just talking from my perspective, [Logan’s] frustrated by him – [he] wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head.

“Unfortunately, he can’t be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I’m probably going to punch him in the head a lot.”

In other Deadpool news, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra Natchios, Matt Murdock’s love interest.

Garner first appeared as the character in the 2003 ‘Daredevil’ film, and would go on to star in her own movie in 2005.

‘Deadpool 3’ will be released in cinemas on May 3, 2023.
