I watched the 2 part episode entitled “Equinox” recently from Star Trek Voyager. A little piece of Trek trivia which is evident by viewing this two parter, is that the USS Voyager wasn’t the only starship flung out to the Delta quadrant by the Caretaker Entity. Another ship which was a science vessel named the USS Equinox Commanded by Captain Ransom was also sent by the very same entity.

“Equinox” is a two-part episode and is a cliffhanger between the fifth and sixth seasons. This show has some of the most realistic effects, and set decoration in television history!! Its like you are literally watching two crews, aboard real starships set in the 24th century!!

Its sad that the Equinox, and its crew couldn’t work together with Voyager and hers. If they had become allies theres no telling what could have happened. Voyager might have got back earlier, or perhaps both ships.

Not to mention the modifications the Equinox crew had made to the ships engines, and warp propulsion systems. If in a scenerio where both crews had colaborated together, one could only imagine what the outcome of two starfleet ships could have accomplished.

We will never know the events that might have happened since the Equinox was unfortunantly destroyed. However I very much recommend watching this two part episode, and more importantly the series as an whole!!! :-)
